Would personally expect them to read about right - if anything faster than what your doing due to different wheel size. IMO the speedo cable should make two revolutions for each revolution of the road wheels unless them 4 speed boxes are different.

Iv put Sr 3 spokes on but would that make any difference?

If your'e talking 10mph out at 60mph then thats a big difference, putting bigger wheels on will make it read slightly slower than real speed but not that kind of difference.
Heyup Andy,
Did you take the speedo cable out or maybe route it so it bends really sharp? 10-15mph is a long way out, mine is around 5-6mph according to my satnav (GPS) but then again i have 16" alloys.
Didnt take it out just pushed it back behind that bracket to reroute it onto the clocks because they dont go in with the cable in its existing place, are you thinking its possibly under pressure?
Thanks,Andy

How do you know its 10-15mph slower?
a gte speedo runs on a 3.74:1 diff ratio with 175/65r14 tyres.
I think a 1.0 runs on a much lower diff & 145r13's, & I am not sure the speedo drive gear is the same
also a 20 year old speedo isn't likely to be correct
Yeah i was thinking the speedo drive might have something to do with it,im not really bothered just didnt want the aggro of speed cameras etc suppose ill just have to live with it until the engine swap
The speedo cable has now snapped lol it gets more interesting lol getting a new one tommorow so will see if that cures it?
If the needles have been removed from the clocks and put back wrong it will over read by about 10-15mph, same trouble I had. If you remove the speedo dial stop the dial should be roughly -10mph if that makes sense.
If it stays at zero then you'll know its been re-fitted wrong.
