Okie sections of the loom weren't quite right and I tried to use the wiper motor; no fuses blew or wires melted, but nothing happened.
Spent countless hours retracing every possible wire connected to relay[s], stalk and motor using another loom for reference ~ got it all back to how it should be. [even with the RANDOM black with purple stripe going to horn! [wtf]]
Had a spare wiper motor from another nova hooked that up. Connected the power ~ ignition ~ moved the stalk and it worked on fast, normal and might have even on intermediate, but at that moment it stopped working entirely. No melted wires or fuse[s] gone. But i'm thinking wtf as this an odd occurance.
I can hear the relay tick as it should to activate the intermediate, but nothing now on any speed on the stalk, changed the stalk ~ same result.
Any ideas on what to do next? Get another motor unit or buy a new relay perhaps? The original wiper motor was tried also with no joy [so that might be 2 i've recked now]. If anyone's experienced this kind of thing pls lemmie know as it's the last aspect of the wiring i need to nail.:thumb:
