The internal mouse on my laptop has just stopped working....

It was fine 30 mins ago at work, put it to hibernate, then turned it back on and the mouse isnt working. I restarted but nothing happened. I looked in device manager but nothing is wrong, everything is "Working OK" well obviously its not =[

Laptop is Advent 5302

Does a USB mouse work?

Moved to muppet, as "general chat" is for car chat ;)

Try feeding it or put a mirror under nose & check if its still breathing.

yea, it should do. its only 2 months old. What happens then, would they be able to transfer all my stuff? like, would it be identical to my computer is now?

Yep, but would be best to copy stuff off first anyway. Plus, they'll look thru all your files for pr0n etc lol

Look along the F-keys, there might be a key combination to enable and disable the touchpad.

Its amazing what you can do to a hard drive, and it still be readable to recover data from it.

An angle grinder usually sees it off.

I find that petroleum spirit & a naked flame after giving it some baxter love with a hammer usually corrupts the data
