Green Cotton Filter Wont Fit!!!

How can i get me green cotton to fit my carb its fits my mates mk2 but not my mk1

The filter 100mm and my Carb is 80mm so what can i do??

I have tried jubilee Clips and cable ties and no joy lol

Any Advice?

Its a mushroom type one that fits straight over the top?

sounds like your mates is the 1.2i... It'll need a completely different filter for a carb

57-1952 i think is the k&n part code, at a guess.

Should still fit with a little modding, but I'd need to see the actual filter to direct you mate.
