Theres a few options:

1) Heatgun them, warming them slowly
2) Smooth peanut butter
3) Autoglym bumper care

Heat gun and Turtlewax Bumper Gel. Thats all you need.

yeah bumper gel stuff is the best - ive seen people use food stuffs before and its gone tacky (dirt sticks) more the oil than the butter though

I did the heat gun thing last night, starting with the back bumper which came up a treat. Moved on to the front and nothing, didn't work. Eventually started to burn rather than bring out the old colour.

Its not been painted or anything like that. I have a spare front bumper which was the same. Still came up OK with the Autoglym stuff, just not as good as the back.

I would've thought that they'd used the same plastic front and rear but I guess not.

Ideas anyone?

Ah you've got an SR/GTE Bumper? They're a yellowy beige colour from the factory and are sprayed.

You need to get some proper dye equipped gel for it. You get a Black coloured Bumper Gel from Turtle Wax that may just do the trick in the correct proportions.

I've seen the yellowy biege colour on the back of the bumper. Wierd how they use a different plastic.

Will try what you suggest, cheers

Am I going to have the same problem with the bump strips down the side of the car?

No, they're rubber so the regular Bumper Gel should be spot on.
