i had my clocks off yesterday and drove down the road to see if the inner drive was spinning but it wasnt. when i took the gearbox cog out of it the cog had bits of plastic hanging off?? can anyone shed sum light as to what i need to do? also new cables and mechanisms where do i get them from?
your best off just nipping to the local scrappy to get one or post a wanted post on here.

yeah i went to scrappys today but they had nothing lol they had a nova but someone had beaten me to all the parts:mad: ! yeah will post one up now mate cheers

just had the clocks out and when i turn the gold bit on the back of the needle it dusnt go up as if the speedo would be moving it! is that the problem??:confused:

You have to spin it and it should just go up but then fall again

yeh... or when you came to a halt the speedo will keep reading a speed lol

lol your funny! should the cog bit in the gearbox move round freely or should it be a bitch to move round after the bolts out obviouslylol

It shouldnt move freely.
The rightmost gear in this pic is what drives the speedo, you can see the speedo cog at the top of it, undo the bolt and pull the speedo pickup out of the gearbox and check that its not broken.
