I think the time has come for me to get rid, still not 100% about it but i'll see what interest I get!

The car itself is a white J91/2 Nova Luxe+ which between me and my reputable ex Vaux mechanic have built into a stripped XE Nova. The shell is clean enough, surface rust on the rear arch lips but this isn't really noticable on the outside, the drivers door has a small 20p bubble at the bottom but it really is clean for a 17year old car!

The shell itself has done about 53k and very well maintained before I purchased it. Its fitted with a gloss black vented bonnet (Escort RS Turbo vents professionally done), GSi rear spoiler, and white rear clusters/side repeaters. The bonnet has a few marks on it and the bootlid was done in white rattlecans as it was red. This needs flatting down but I aim to do this soon. I have painted a few bit flourescent orange to go with the track slag look but these are easy enough to paint white again!

Inside its fitted with red Corbeau/Cobra (cant remember off the top of my head) with brand new Sparco harnesses. Also fitted is a shift light which is hardwired in. The interior has been stripped bare, i've chopped the loom down to tidy up all the excess wires. It has a Astra GTE 16v steering wheel and aftermarket gearknob, I have also flocked the dial binnacle to reduce glare off the windscreen which does really help when its sunny!

It was converted to a 80k mile C20XE in April this year, its a Dispack engine which fires off the key 1st time every time. I did have a few minor niggles after it was converted but these have been all cleared up since.....at the time of the engine conversion I had the cambelt and tensioners done, a sump gasket fitted together with a rocker cover gasket, plugs, fluids and oil filter. I really cannot fault the performance, i've had a fair few tearups in her and embarressed a fair few so called 'peformance cars'!! Gases go in through a K&N cone filter and are expelled through a decatted Scorpion exhaust with 3" tailpipe. It is very noisy; a lack of interior only amplifies this.

I have fitted this with Pug Graphite metallic Astra GSi Fanblades with white motorcyle rim tape. The tyres are budget 195/50's which have only done about 1000miles. Behind the wheels are 288mm V6 brakes which I have painted the calipers white to match the car...rear brakes are standard 1.2 drums which have been wire brushed and painted black. All the arches have been stripped, cleaned and undersealed, Spax adjustables with 40mm springs are fitted.

All in all its a great summer car or something that would be good fun on track. I had plans to fit a cage/strut braces and perspex windows but loss of enthusiasm have brought this to a standstill.

Should also mention it is still logbooked as a 1.2...not me being purposefully dishonest but the logbook is at my mums address and I never remember to pick it up.

Car is currently MOT'd till December and has a few months tax remaining.

The only minor niggles are the above mentioned bootlid paintwork, in addition to this i'll be honest and say that it needs a new battery (I will do this before its sold) and sometimes it can be awkward to engage second gear. I'm used to this though and never causes me much trouble.

I'll put a base price up as £1400 which I think is worth it, but i'm intrested in offers/negotiation. Interested in swap/px with 106 GTi/Saxo VTS, maybe others but let me know what you got.

Only selling due to loss of enthusiasm and that I fancy a change.

Car is based in Watford,Herts for viewings. Easy access from A1, M25 and M1.

did you catch the person who put bits of orange paint on your car?
