Yes ade, I have started to build the Flying Machine. So far I have-

Stripped the shell bare
Cut out the spare wheel well and welded in a flat sheet so my new exhaust will fit.
Roof gutters have been cut off and reweld and smoothed back.
Rear quarter has been smoothed out.
fuel filler cap has gone and it's been plated over.
Fuel filler neck is now in the B-piller.
Made a new filler cap.
Flushed the tailgate(going off to have the LED's put in)
Making a Bad boy bonnet with Pulsar scoop blended in.
scuttle panel has been smoothed and the Pulsar runs back to the windscreen.
Fitted new wings, arches, tailgate(after my last one was stolen), sills, inner wings, floor, slam panel, top panel, front cross member and battery tray.
seam welded the engine bay and lower the mount for the Valver.
Rebuilt the anti roll bar, pedal box, and steering rack.

A busy man :o yes
and I still only about half away through the build!

I will post a pic of what the back will look like and the spec of the flying machine.
I won't post any pics at the mo because my scanner doesn't like my PC and my printer doesn't like the PC, but that's what you get for getting ya mate to fix ya PC. I will being get a new digi cam next week so then I will post some.

christ youve done alot. Sound wicked. I am looking forward to seeing it.

How hard was it to remove the gutter rails?

?Marty?

I was thinking about removing mine, but i was advised not to. Something about water then being able to get into the car through the top of the doors, or something.

To remove them,
I just cut back roof gutter
Then I welded the skins together
Then knocked the weld back
I used a grinder to flatten it back
Then I welded a steel strip along the roof
smoothed it in.

I was told that as well, about it leaking, so I wasnt sure whether to do it or not.

Its supposed to be fairly hard to do, as you've done though you should know.

Well its a cool mod anyways.

Matt Finary

I am having new door rubbers made up by a company because of how the doors are fitted and there are no gutter so I don't have to worry about leaks.

Mat m8,

What do u do for a living. My project cost me a fair bit & my car is "standard" in comparison!

You must have spent a packet!

I would guess I have spent about 5 grand so far. I will prob spend about 4 more to finish it.

I do get most of my stuff like metal, degreaser and paint at cost.(thanks chris)
and my car parts I get at trade price! :D
