Whats the chances of removing the paint from the bottom of a sprayed GTE bumper and getting the dark grey bottom back to anywhere near as it should be, or would the paint have ruined it?

Cheers

Would think if its been doing well you wont get it back to a nice looking plastic.

Just paint over it. IIRC the bottom bit isn't textured so you won't lose anything with a lick of paint.

correct, just paint it, the plastic underneath isnt great, easyer to paint it.

Edit: My 700th post lol

Thanks guys, thats one option but then it would not match the side skirts and rear bumper skirt, and I don't like the look of painted side skirts:(

Paint the front skirt, side skirts and rear bumper thingy with that Upol (I think) plastic paint, its on ebay and is a decent match for the original colour!

I done my sideskirts with them and they are a close match to my unpainted bumpers.

The plastic is a pish yellow colour anyway. The grey lip is a textured finish sprayed on. The whole bumper is sprayed if its from a mk1 SR for example.

As said, UPOL do a textured dark grey to match GM plastics. I've only ever seen it on ebay. But someone on here did some skirts with it & they looked mint. far better than bare plastic & obviously they wont fade like bare plastic will.
