Tell me what the difference is between a T3 and T34, also a GT35 and GT30, are these related to the T3. I know the GT series is roller bearing turbo.

yes they are all related to a T3 in the fact they will all have a T3 flange. the T34 is a bigger version of the T3. they are generaly found on cossies, big turbo models normaly come with the T34's. a basic one is good for upto 350 hp i believe.

Not all Gt series turbo's are roller bearing its say the GT35R that roller bearing (its the R on the end)

VS isnt as bouyant as png or MIGweb for that matter. You may have to wait for a reply or even pehaps PM Chip & then start a thread for him to answer you in.

However its not just about choosing a turbo beacsue of its supposed numbers etc. If you have a use in mind, gather the stats & reference what you want from it with the compressor map for a range of turbo's.

There was a thread on VS about interpreting compressor maps.

I have had a thread on VS about a T3 for a week.

All I am asking is what the difference between a T3 and T34 is.

Nothing about choosing a turbo, compressor maps etc.

The question I am asking is just what the difference is?

The T34 has a bigger comp wheel/housing than a normal T3, so it can shift more air.

T3 was old school "big turbo" when 250bhp ruled the land. T34 is new old school big turbo for 380bhp max. GT35R is "uber class of new millenium" for mega brake hamster powers :D
