Hi people, hope you can be of assistance, i've just been ringing around trying to get hold of some speakers for the mk1, just been told that there are hardly any flush mounted 10cm on the market (left), can someone confirm this, if not recommend a set if possible please. Ive taken the easy 3 out and left with the front right dash to do?:thumb:

umm u dont need 'flush' fitting 10cm speakers - any with metal basket/mounting lugs will do..

I fitted these JBL's to mine,.. under £30 delivered from an ebay audio place..

the top two lugs push into the o.e holders and the bottom two lugs screwed in. Sorted.

Can be done with dash in place, glove box out and drop the fuse box down to let you into the other side it is a pain but can be done.

Oh ok, i thought judging buy the old ones i took off that i needed flush mounted, well thats a relief and i have alot more choice. Still dont know which ones to get. Are those JBL's bassy? did you get the same all round?

Ive been reading that all you have to do is drop the fuse box or/and take the
clocks out to get access. Ijust want the 10cm to perform and sound good, even if i dont get much base, i want crystal sharp sound.

Audio shop salesman tells me the pioneer ts107 are a alternative upgrade
