GSI exhaust

Hi guys, i have bought a 92 gsi in silk violet which is in absolutly mint condtion,have wanted one for a long time. Looking at exhaust systems for it and was wondering was a cat ever fitted to these? Just wondering before i keep looking as i would want her to fail MOT on something like that.
I have been looking at an ashley full system, they also offer a 4-1 manifold,is this type of manifold any better or worse than a 4-2-1.
Is there any other sugestions,would like a sutble deep note up the revs.

A cat was fitted to the engines in very late GSi's. Engine no C16SE....... or easier to spot, dispack engines (ie no distributor or coil).

I always advise stainless steel systems, they last longer, usually sound deeper as opposed to raspy & are generally built to last.
