View Full Version : V.v.cheap G-reg Astra GTE £250

OK so I got my hands on a G reg Astra as a straight swap for some car parts. Wen u quote the reg for insurance details it says it is a GTE but i think its a replica tbh. Admittedly I dont know enough about it! To be perfectly honest I was going to scrap it and remove the engine and sell that on too but thought I'd atleast offer it on here. I only have room for an engine in the back of the garage so the rest has to go for scrap or sum1 here can take the whole thing complete...

I know sum1 on here, or another vaux forum might benefit from its engine or dials etc rather than me floggin it on randomly. Its got alot of stuff done to it (not my taste but hey ho) but the shell is looking kinda rotten, especially around the front panel(pictured). Failed MOT on 23 points but still has tax on it for 1 more full month. Repair or for parts. Ur choice.

Its got 72500 miles on the engine.

GTE Digital dials on it showing 154k Not sure if they are 8 or 16v (How can I tell)

2.0 XE engine with Courtney Sport pipes and heatsheild over the manifold. Induction Cone filter. Maybe modified - dont know, dont care lol.

Strut brace

Flushed boot

17" 100+ alloys.

It's taxed for atleast one extra month so in 'theory' book it in for an MOT and drive it there (ahem, cough). Weigh it in yourself, weigh in wheels, cash in tax or sell the parts if u want.


I dont have the interest, time or space to do this for all the smaller items over the next few weeks/months. If it wont sell on here ***BEFORE SATURDAY MIDDAY*** its having the engine dropped out and the whole lot with seats, dials etc will be weighed in.

Oh the speakers are gone as I needed sum for my daily drive but door pods are still there.

Has ONE original Vauxhall wheel in the boot. Like Nova SR ones. Grey star design with polished lip and big grey centrecap.

The ignition key is pink!! ooohhhhh

Its late - i'm tired, but if sum1 has a new large (150pc set) halfords tool kit then I'd swap for that! lol U know the one with the 3 ratchet sizes and hex keys etc etc

Seriously! Go buy one, give that to me and u can have the car!!

Adam - as I said, its still taxed so technically what some people do is ring up for an MOT near their house and drive the car there, but even if they dont actually attend the MOT atleast your driving legally without an MOT - but still taxed.

Craig - if you looking for a trailer consider an a-frame. I used one recently and it was easy. But this NEEDS to be gone asap unfortunatly. I cant have it hanging around.
