GTE Insurance

Hello all,

Me engine has finally died (camshaft snapped, and the pistons went with it !!) so im looking for a new engine :P

Anyone know the insurance groups on the gte engines ??

think it's 11. Could be lower than that though.

and remeber engine conversions r more to insure

Yep, 1.3 and 1.4 sr's are both group 5.

engine conversions dont cost more to insure btw and 1.4sr is group 7 :D

i rekon go with the 1.3 like ya said, dont let ya bro try covincing ya to get the gte, haha :)

Be wicked if hayz has working 1.3 engine as he's in mk, just up the road from ya!!

1400-grp 7
1600 (GTE/GSI)- 11

Straight forward as that, if your worried about any less than that then buy a pushbike. cause 1.0 1.2's aint worth worrying about insurance wise :wink:

ye i wish i didnt have 2 worry about my insurance on my 1.2 ..but at ?1200 it is a bit expencive : (

er yes because it is a modifucation hence more expsive,
and try liverpool victory they inusure me on a 1300 sr with 2 many points for 500 quid

Dave.sr, i see you all the time. I've got the red GTE with allessio 2's. U seen it. I think ash is my m8???? ive seen that blue one with the big bore 2. :lol:

its red..sr bumpers some 14" alloys off a corsa :( only small..but do the job for my 1st car..
noddy do u have a nova SR ( cant remember the colour with the 3spokes alloys aswell ?)
aint actually passed test yet (test in 2weeks) but i have been working on my car for a few months
