i got an escort horn on mine MK4 i think, cos the bracket snapped on the original one and when it vibrated on the body it sounded like a fuckin swan, no shit. I think the escort one is one of a twin horn set but its nice on its own.

I got air horns in mine but they take about 2 seconds to warm up and once they get going theyre loud - dont quite give u the same instant hit - unless I aint got them wired up right (air leaking from somewhere)

AJ: Best bet is to go to your local scrappy and ask to hav a listen to a couple, try the bigger cars as they usually have bigger horns, and also try to get one with a round plastic bit on the top rather than the standard metal disk sorta horns that novas have, like i say, ive got an escort horn and it sounds lovely. Its pretty much 50/50 whether theyre easy or a pain to fit. The escort horn i got has to earth to the body of the car (which i dont think the original one did, unless im chatting shit) or maybe its the other way around, i had to stop mine from earthing. Anyway, the scrappy will be able to tell u how it shud be wired, wont ever be anymore than 2 wires to worry about anyway.

Good Luck
