The ones you can buy in shops now don't play PS2 games at all sadly.
if you dont have any ps2 games its not a huge loss. plus ps2's are about £5 on ebay anyway lol
They have stopped making ones that play the old games apparently they were buggering up so were recalled.Thats what some guy in gamestation said anyway
ive got a virtually new one for sale if you want it lynz?

The ones that play the PS2 games are the 60GB versions. They have been replaced with the 40GB version.
My cuz bought 2 60GB verions at around xmas time when there were only a few knocking about. So far he has had no issues with his 60GB version.
You can still buy a 60GB ps3, I saw one on the kalidoscope website not so long ago but they do sting you for it. If you don't have or play ps2 games then the 40GB one is fine.
Personally, i say your better off with an xbox... much more fun for the online games and cheaper :thumb:
Yeah, I think I will go for the XBox now- seems to be a lot more popular!

The Xbox is much better for gaming online, which is what it's all about now!
I got my Xbox and GTA4 the day after it came out and paid £219 or something similar, and at that It had a pretty big Hard drive.
Lauren, you fairly well up to date with the online gaming? I'm having trouble getting it hooked up.

What you having trouble with hun?
Also the HD-DVD drive is now only £19.99 in gamestation and you can get HD-DVD's from Asda/HMV etc for £5 :D yeah ok its a dead format but getting HD stuff on the cheap is a winner
When you hook it up and go to download the update, it pauses for a few minutes and then says the update is unavailable. The Broadbandis working fine, but if i dont download the update, I cant GTA4 on line!!

It's crazy how cheap you can get the drive for. I paid £4.99 for it at a small shop in Manchester. I only bought it for transformers in HD though(which I got for £5 also) so £10 for hd movie experience, not bad at all!!!!
