that piece of metal where you welded must be piss thin on all nova's bec i must have blown 10 ****ing holes in mine when i welded it up even if you used a corsa shifter that bolts up from underneath and the gear linkage is in the way to do it up

Why do you need the Nova end? Isn't the whole point of this ia to bin the linkage no?

    Far from suicidal
    Still I get them tendencies
    Bringing back them memories

it moves the linkage above the floor so you can use the exhaust tunnel for an exhaust, the shifter still connects to the normal nova linkage via that slip coupling.

Sounds point less to be. All the ones i've seen connect to the box direct. To be that's the point, it removes all the slop from the linkage.

Can't say I've ever seen it done like that, must have not been looking... top idea though and I might have to look into it, my french diseasel pos has a better gear change on it!

None of them connect directly to the box. Only one ive seen like that is with a HH linkage, which i THINK Lee Hearsey uses.
Doing it that way also means you have a send the shifter rod through the passenger footwell area iirc.

You still keep the original nova linkage/S, just that now a cav/astra shifter connects to it instead of the nova one....
Meaning i can rotate my exhaust up into the tunnel to stop it bottoming out (remember you said it looked broken? )
Thats the only real reason i did it, and its cost me nothing to do.

Browney-Yeah mate it is piss think, i dont think its even a mil thick
