Another quick question.
AFAIK there are 3 types of F20. Which model/s did the longer 5th gear ratio F20's come from?

i think the 4x4 F20 had a strange FD
F20 W5a 3.55 2.16 1.48 1.13 0.74 0 3.55
F20 W5b 3.55 2.16 1.48 1.13 0.71 0 3.55
F20 WR (dosent exist) ?? 0
F20 CR 3.55 2.16 1.48 1.13 0.89 0 3.72 3.55 3.42
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th 6th and FD(s)
Thought there were 3 types all with the same 1-4 ratios but different 5th speed (so I've been reading over the years).
Was just wondering as the slightly longer 5th gear would be good for motorway driving, less noise, increased mpg and all that.
What sort of revs does the common F20 do at say 70mph?
F18 WR for the high end 5th
Erm 8 gears?Originally Posted by Stuart
