    Default Todays update!

Cheers guy's glad you like the light idea's i had (I'm going to try redo that taped one)

Anyway on with today's fiddling, so i got on with more work on the cam/rocker covers today, first off i de-nibbed them then gave them a quick lick over with the ally primer, then went into watch monster garage and have a sandwich while they dried in todays lovely sun :D

    Nibbed back/ally primed.

Here is a sneak peak of what color they are going to be, wont show them till they are finished in lacquer, and i have my plug cover done etc.

Although it looks in this light/pic to be silk violet it's not , it's a non-Vaux color.

EDIT: I gave them a helping hand to dry, my mum's getting to be more understanding.

Ste, i don't think it made them dry any quicker, but i did notice it gave more shine on the finish!

Jay, as much as i love my old Silk Violet i don't think many peoples eys could hack the color contrast of it with the Apache Orange!

    So nope, there changing.

    Default And todays progress..

I feel like i have achieved something today, at last!

First things first. For some strange reason Chris didn't spray the passengers door on the inside, so this had been bugging me for ages now, so...

I also swapped the door lock for one of my old GSi one's, as this car as a different key for everything!

    First coat.

Then went in for lunch to let it dry for the second coat.

    Second coating

I left it for an hour or so as i had to go out, when i got back i decide to do something i had been thinking about for a while now.

Now Dar just in case you read/see this don't take offense to what i have done.

I decided to re-relocate the battery, as I'm going to be using this car on the road for at least a year, and don't want to tempt fait, so I'll be caring a spare.

Undo it ready for it's move.

I got two bits of ally angle, cut and filed them, marked out where it's going etc.

Then drill/counter sunk them, and screwed them down, then drilled out two holes for the ally bar that goes over the top, temp fixed it down.

Then i decided to pull all the rear lighting loom out and get rid of any bit's not needed, as i was going to feed it, and the battery lead through the inner wing are.

Hope i don't need them anyway??

I fed it into the inner wing through a hole i drilled earlier (with a wood holes saw!)

I was getting worried i did not have enough length on the wire for what i wanted to do next (only just have)

I moved the battery cut off switch from of the dash as i couldnt reach it while faster in my seat by the harness.

Made a locating plate from foamxe to go where the radio would be
    (this is not finished)
