    gareth is correct, you can definitely get fly by wire x18xe1 engines. the engine in my mums vectra is identical to the one pictured in the corsa and has the cat on the downpipe. oh and it has x18xe1 stamped on it . bought it brand new aswell. 2001 y reg club estate.

    It's too new for an X18XE1 though - they were used up to/including 2000 as Euro Emissions Regs meant the Z18XE was developed and used instead from 2001...



    More differences;

    The Z18XE uses the Simtec90 ECU and the X18XE1 uses the Simtec70 ECU

    Late Z18XE's don't have an EGR Valve - all X18XE1's do and early Z18XE's too

    X18XE1 has a paper Oil Filter - all Z18XE's have Screw on Cartridge Oil Filters

    so back to topic any one got pic of x18xe1 in nova engine bay with the plastic cover on
