    Default inner wing problem

i have a 1993 1500td nova which has 16" wheels and a spax -40mm lowering kit the problem is that i was driving a long the other day when i heard a bang i got out and opened the bonnet. Through investigating the engine bay i noticed that the chassis lag and the inner wing have partede company hence leaving me walking. Therfore does anyone know how to fix this could it be welded or will this not be strong enough or will i need to aquire a new front for my wee car.

get the front supported in a way so there is no weight on the affected area and get it welded up, seam welding might be a good idea too, also if this has happened other areas might be rusting bad too so check them.
p.s. any chance of a pic of the affected area
p.p.s where are you based i'd like to see the damage first hand

It might be worth getting some extra plates welded in to strengthen the area, as it is probably the weakest part of the nova chassis. If the front cross member is corroded you can buy a new one to weld in, try Dixons vauxhall spares http://www.dixonsvauxhallspares.co.uk/ for this ?25 +vat.
