Weber 32/34 from 1.3SR - will it go on 1.2?

Well, finances are low and I wanna buy a car soon, so I think my plans for an SR will have to go on hold and I'll get something cheaper, so I'm gonna try pick up a 1.2 Sting (around G reg) as these have SR interiors etc.

Anyways, a m8 is doing a 1.6 GTE conversion in his car and has offered me his weber 32/34, pipercross air filter and pipercross oil filter for a nice price. Now if I was having a 1.3 it'd be no bother and I'd say yes, but seeing as I mite end up with a 1.2, what I wanna know is will it bolt straight on?

I aint too technically minded so aren't sure... would I need a new inlet manifold? Or anything else special? And if I do need anything new, how much is it likely to cost?

well the olders sr's have peirberg 1b carbs and so does the 1.2 so it will fit it will also fit on the earlyer sr's so basically yes it will fit but the only snag is u might av 2 get it rejetted for a 1.2

Cool cheers. I was plannin on gettin a back box, carb, filter all done as close as poss then banging it on a rolling road for an hour or a bit less :D Would they sort the rejetting for me for free?

won't the jets have to be made smaller??? Won't it over fuel on the normal jets?

Sounds like I'd be better off getting a 1.3 in the 1st place and just bolt the **** on and go play vroom vrooms :D

I wanted an SR but now the 1.3's for less than 800 all seem totally fucked/thrashed/rusty, hence thinkin' 1.2... Ahh well, we'll see wot happens if I get a 1.2 and chuck it on :D
