the easiest conversion is that which is the same size block if you dont want to be messing around with engine mounts and driveshafts (small block or large block) and uses the same fueling (either spi, mpi or carb) unless youre going for twin 40s or TBs!
I wouldnt bother with a cav 1400 engine anyway, look at the weight of the cav its been pulling around for years, gotta be knakered unless its real low milage

yes cav 1.4s exist its the 14nv motor (1400 sr), and there are big and small block 1.6's they have a small 2 for family 2 at the end of the engine code
