Engineeers report will validate the condition the the engine conversion, i.e. if its all welded and fitted in properly or held in with masking tape.. so i would assume that yes, without one they could up the premium or refuse to cover you.

Ah the same as me, 6 points, 20yr old an a 2lt 16v. Although when i insured mine i was 19. It cost me 1700 a year which i dont think is too bad.
well when i get my nova done im lookin at 2.0 16v nova with a ban 22 first car
