going for a 120mm drop or more :?

i hope your going to use 13" alloys as anything bigger would need major arch and rear beam work

    I THINK

    christ...

i've heard -80mm springs are little dodgy especially when driving over hump back bridges.

i'd suspect that -120 would prehaps be illegal ? as they'd just fall out

you cannot do 120mm on std shocks and beam as the shock would be bottomed out 100% of the time. i had 80mm springs made by coilsprings89 and they had less than an inch of travel!

I've just fitted -80mm springs from coilsprings (cheers keith!) and i think it's the perfect height for a nova-any lower wouldn't actually look good imo (unless it's a 5 door which need lowering more from standard). My 17's still don't rub!! I can't believe it, 40 offset and they're JUST clearing it.

If you want to go that low mate, buy some coilovers. There's some avo's on ebay at the moment, 'as new'.

    ........or get hydraulics :D

at these sort of levels you also need to keep an eye on the exhaust as clearance over the beam gets less and less

coilovers will probably be best, but when mine was all the way down it squashed to exhaust in the beam

Ive just had a look for coil springs number but ive lost it sorry. I think Keith had some recently from them?

I can assure you that if you ring coil springs up and ask for a 'genuine' 120mm spring they will laugh down the phone at you :: It can not be done. Coil springs will do you a set of genuine 60mm springs and i will bet it will be as low as your mates car
