    Default doors

    hi all my doors are starting to rust here and there and im finding it hard to get new one so has anyone repaired there doors and if so wot did u do??? weld in plates or just bodyfiller??? and how long have they lasted

    I have had small sections of my door cut out and then plates welded in place. It doesnt last that long at all. You are best off getting a new door or getting a new skin put on your old on if it is just the skin rusting. Make sure the insides are properly protected

    i done mine

    i grinded the rust out the fillerd it up

    then i checked inside the door and checked the drainage holes are clear
    then under sealed the whole inside of the door

    hope this helps

    its been done a month and theres no sign of rust?

    Same here, worked fine, i used fiberglass stuff first becuase there was a lot of the door missing when i i finished grinding!

    well iv just grinded my doors back and to my suprise there actually not to bad just sum small surface rust patches which have grinded back to good metal and under them is total solid... only problem i have now is when u open the doors the drivers one drops about 1/4 of an inch and the passangers side dropes about 1 inch so how do u sort this out???

    i think u might have to replace the door pins which go through the hinges unless ur hinges r bolt on one's
