My fuel guage on my six dials reads backwards. When gets to half a tank it will run out of fuel. Could it be fuel sender or more likely the guage itself?

Checked the wiring to it all seems OK. Any other earth's besides the one on the back panel. Got a feeling its the guage
can you get under the car to read the resistance of the sender?
iirc it goes from higher resistance to lower as it drains
Yes will give it ago when weather is better. Hoping its not the sender ��
Have you considered checking the resistance of the fuel sender to identify any issues causing the fuel gauge to read backwards?
