All change then! That'll give a more direct feel I expect & neaten up the minty bay no end.
~ Increase the gas flow when doing such thicknesses if possible since these must be structural; open spots in weld pools are a tell tale.

Yea pedal and braking are much better and nicer now. Haven't used them in anger yet tho.
Ah i was gonna see if anyone knew why i sometimes get that bubbly weld...

Benn, once again you are beyond amazing. Excellent write up and lots of clear pics. Looking forward to having a nosey again at Billing.
If only I had 1% of your determination, the pile of rust that once was my Red Shed would be moving under its own steam.
One day I'll start a build thread. One day...
Thank you Niek, i took alot of photos as i found find ref photos before i start where a bit lacking.
plus i wanted to highlight the issues i had.
Will be good to see you at Billing again.
And you just gonna dive in and get cracking.

Started making a set of stubby mirrors. Have liked them for ages, started in Feb... Got these far.
Marked it up and started cutting...
Then my soldering iron died so i treated my self to a much more heavy duty one that says will do plastic welding.
All welded up.
Test fit, you can see how much shorter it is...
More so here, this is the size of the bit cut out...
Sanded it off, very light coat of black fiber glass to cover the weld tracks..
All sanded down, ready for primer.
Then set about cutting the casing down.
Put the casing on, to check it all fitted and lined up.
Wanted the cover and the main case to still be two parts as i think it's nicer and if there's a prob i put it part.
That was as far as i got. Picked up just after PVS, thought quickly do the other one and get them them on for Billing..
Sat in the garage. Total mind blank. Couldn't figure it how as to how i did it, even with the photos i took.
First one took just under 2 hours. 2nd one took almost 4! I just couldn't do it. So it's no where near as well made and am not happy with it, so gonna get another cover and make another.
But... There's the finished item.
Fitting in the garage, found the trim for behind them too.
Want the std kinda paint feel, so the covers are Arden blue and the casing is bumper grey to match the trim.
Then on a lil drive...
And of the car with them on... Just because.

Nice work Benn looks brilliant
Good work mate, love the detail as always!!!!
Loving the front spoiler, loads of extra downforce from that aswell
Mirrors are a great step forwards from what was on before imo; not so much a fan of the bonnet addition
That's the soldering iron I have too ~ the only iron a man should posses!
Mirrors look great. Really like the fab also on the corsa pedal set up. Great attention to detail Benn
Thank you Sir.
Cheers dude, with the way it now flaps about, it wont help down force at all..
Thank you, glad you like, bonnet "bra" is purely there to protect it. Saves getting the bonnet painted again and again.
The iron is a good bit of kit, had to take the bulb out of it tho, as i'm working with in right near my face. After a while it really gets to your eyes.
Thank you, i really like how they look. Look much nicer plus where they fit better and have the trims on, i dont get a window noise thru them like i did the Astra ones. Which bugged me, more so cause i couldn't find where it was from.
The pedal might not look as pretty as i could of made it, but its really strong and works great. So i'm more than happy with it. Plus the braking is soooooo much better! Pad gets proper hot and sticky now.
On that note, i've now dialed the rear pressure down a full turn. After pulling a 180 when i broke late and hard.
