    Default Small block conversion

Hi there, planning on doing a small block conversion but have a few questions.
I want to put a 1.6 16 valve into my 1.2spi Nova but its hard to find a donor car due to the fact I'm living in Ireland.(high tax so little 1.6's)

I've no problem getting an astra g but this has abs and the vss in the hub.

Would the ECU recognise the Nova vss?

Could I install an older loom on the engine that runs inside the car, instead of the side of the engine?

I don't want to run an aftermarket ECU as I want to do the conversion cheaply.

Any info would much be appreciated

I think the speed for ecu is only taken from the one side on some of the early ones from what I remeber so possibly would work
