Default nova rear disc conversion problem

Hi, iv recently purchased corsa c sri rear discs and hubs as iv seen that these will bolt onto a nova rear axle....... Which they do, with the calipers at the rear of the disc, but there's a small problem, the handbrake lever on the calipers are on the bottom and too close to the actual axle itself...... Is there a solution to this or have I just wasted time and money :-) thanks

Yes, they bolt up, but you need an element of mechanical knowledge to work around problems like this. A welder and some properly spec'd tube with a slit cut in it will work just fine.

hopefully this is a saloon. Otherwise if a hatch you will run into serious trouble when lowering off the jack on 6j ET49.

Handbrake lever should also point up. I can't remember if they need swapping side to side as I stripped and rebuilt mine.

If I went back I would never have used them, but it's done now.

It's a hatchback and iv banded sr steelies to onto it which fit over the brakes fine........ Also if I change the hubs around so that the handbrake lever is pointing up the hubs won't bolt on correctly, they only bolt on in the position I have them unless I can swap the callipers over....

You may be right about the lever, it's been a long time since I looked at mine. I used both Corsa C cables and did a fair few mods along the beam to make them work.

Ok so here's an update on my situation ha ha iv the hubs bolted onto the axle no problem, all looks good..... I then swapped over the calipers so there now also in the correct position ( handbrake lever on top and bleed nipple on top) they look good too bar one slight problem, the handbrake cable running to the calipers are colliding with the suspension shock!!! If I can get this sorted I reckon it's job done... :-) any suggestions? Might just see if a metal fabricator can be of assistance
