I don't think it's much effective. If the airflow hit this cooler directly maybe the oil can cooling down a bit, but I think it's not enough for a racing car engine (I guess it need bigger cooling surface like a radiator). An unmodified street engine doesn't need this "extra cooling", so it doesn't looks useful, mostly an another rice-tuner thimblerigger stuff. haha ssuppose its a little like the fins on a motor bike cylinder head. ive got one knocking about the unit i might try it on a motor. the rally cars in need of one. allthough theres mixed opinons on what the oil temp should be
