    Default oil filter coolers

seen one or two rally cars sunday at the agbo stages at weston park sunday with these on.
anyone ever fitted one? before everyone starts screaming "just fit a oil cooler", im not questioning fitting one or asking for or against comments. just anyone fitted one and had any noticable difference?

I don't think it's much effective. If the airflow hit this cooler directly maybe the oil can cooling down a bit, but I think it's not enough for a racing car engine (I guess it need bigger cooling surface like a radiator). An unmodified street engine doesn't need this "extra cooling", so it doesn't looks useful, mostly an another rice-tuner thimblerigger stuff. But wait your theoretical decision while other opinions has arrive

Pretty pointless I'd say - unless you wanted to hide the fact you were running a Halfords filter?
