    Default C14se x14sz heads

Right I'm building a 1400 engine again.. Want to run twin 40 dellortos the manifold I have has cathedral ports. And the SE head has bigger valves but mpi ports( completely round) as far as I can find out the sz head has the same valves but runs single point injection anyone know what shape the ports are on the head?

Do I machine the se or buy an sz??

    Thanks guys

Hmm that's emotional I can't find a manifold for a se tho! 1300 head might get played with! There isn't a oval port 1400 is there?

not that i know of, 1200 carb and 1300 heads are the only ones ive seen with cathedral window shape ports. there was a 14se head on ebay a little while ago with the ports opened up to cathedral shape, you could always do that if your desperate. Know what you mean about finding a se inlet for 40's though, hunted about for ages for mine!

That's my idea widen the ports up and port and polish it or machine bigger valves in a 1300 sr head

Bowyer developments manufacture inlet manifolds for round post se heads. Last time I looked they were available from daemon tweaks too.
