Not a hard fix. Cut out the middle (green bit) Clean all the sides up then put a flat plate in there. On the top (in the boot) cut the metal back so you can see in the chassis leg, as i bet that's rotten too. Then you can work out if you need to remove the end and replace. Then weld a flat plate in from the top over the holes. Joining bottom and top plates.
Not that bad, ashamed to say i had to do the same in mine. Due to the sunroof drain being blocked.

Thanks Benn... I knew I could rely on you for a reply. I know where needs cutting and replacing... My problem is getting in there to cut it, I can't get my grinder in there enough to make a neat job.
i use a dremel with small cutting disc. takes a while and a good few discs.

The front end fit is very good for a Nova, I spent hours trying to get mine half as good as that!
Now looking at this, what was the chassis leg like under? As it looks a bit crispy... Unless it's just the pic....
