Default Another x16xe nova running issue

Currently finishing off my nova with a x16xe lump, it starts no bother and runs grand most of the time, but if i rev it suddenly it dies, but if i rev it up gradually its ok, if it cuts out it will start again no bother, when the revs are above roughly 1200 rpm i can rev it quickly and its ok, but it just seems to be idle up to 1200-1500rpm,
anyone any ideas as it as my head wrecked at the minute

Have you cleaned your idle control valve out?

    What colour are your plugs?

Have you blanked off the EGR?

Was the engine running okay before fitting?

Have you done a service on the engine at all?

icv cleaned, new plugs, ones i took out were a bit white, took this as to be running lean because egr on exhaust wasnt blanked properly, sorted now, and egr is blanked off at tb.
new oil and filter and not using an air filter at the minute, is the map sensor the one with the grey 2 pin square plug, as i was wondering would it be a problem with it,

Have you tried adjusting the throttle cable at all?

Was the engine okay before fitting to yours?

Stick an air filter on and see if there's any difference, it could be drawing too much air in.

yeah i had it running in the car before i stripped it about 3 years ago, il try an air filter, maybe it is drawing too much air and overloading the map sensor or something, il adjust the cable also and let ya know how i get on, cheers

The map sensor is the one that has a vac pipe from the inlet to a black box with a green 4 pin plug iirc

That top pic isnt the map sensor mate, its an actuator for something i think....
The map sensor is kinda flat and rectangular, with a green 4 pin plug and only one pipe onto it.

And that wire i would have said was an earth.
