I had this exact same problem a couple of months ago

I stabbed it around the top edge with a small sharpe cheese knife! It took around 45 minutes to fully open and inspect for metal shavings but the end result was great

45 minutes ! bloody hell you had to fight for that meal.
i was lucky my knife got thru it in about 4 or 5 mins with breaks to stop and swear at the tin , wrecked the edge on the knife, but ill sort it out
