Small update, managed to pick these up at the weekend, brand new light units, I had some brand new inners but the outers are mega rare. You can buy the lenses from demon tweaks but when these came up I though why not! Bought them with a twin headlight grill, took the lights from the kit, replaced them with my secondhand lights and sold the kit back on for what I paid, one happy man has twin headlights and knows what I paid etc, one happy man has new lights for free!!
Cheers mark. Am well pleased..
Very good deal done there for both of you lads
Small update.....
The Spider has gone for the floor work to be done finally by my mate Steve who's been on the Vauxhall scene for years so knows what's needed. He's built a few Viva's with V8s, a Chevette HSR, Firenza HP and a Bedford CF daily driver with a Carlton GSI 6 pot lump in it!!
Car out the garage for the first time in about 6 years...
Pikey style transport
ready for work
then set about cutting the rot and bad repairs out
As much original metal has been left as possible, and the floor numbers have been left untouched
The near side has been left untouched for now so that the box sections can be used as a reference
The footwell has a area that is double skinned and when the strengthening has been cut out it would seem that when the box section is put in that as well as the sections that run front to back haven't been under sealed and have caused rot on the floor that is visable, the front section has burnt through the floor and into this section so again it's been all cut out. The section from the shell I cut up is spotless though so replacing isn't a problem.
Nice view of Steve's foot!! Also shows how little rust prevention is on the inside of the out riggers on the floor.
Also cut outa section of the box section that goes side to to get into the rear seam that all Nova's seem to go on.
Then the fun part! Filling the holes
Front floor section is tacked in place and lined up
