That needs a big block, but with the care and eye that Nick has, (blowing my own trumpet) but some stupidly clean ones deserve to be built to go fast, but looked after in the process, ive seen pics of mine when it was still a 1.2 (i drooled round it myself @ pvs when the 25th anniversary stand had over a hundred novas on it) but i think it looks waay better as it does now!

I do hope whoever buys that doesnt rip out the interior etc and fit a redtop, yeah its a perfect base but it would ruin it imo.

There is no doubt that the car would be a perfect car to convert. But I think it would a shame to do this to my Nova because of the miles and the fact it has only changed slightly in its near 30 year old guise. There is still some real clean base models kicking about with 20/30/40k on them that would be better suited to being chopped up IMO.

Why? What exactly is there to like about a 1l nova?
Handle like boats,your gonna lose off the line to a tomos 50 pedal and pop.
Interior is awful and the best thing that could ever happen is for it to be fitted with the much nicer sr or gte interior

• Polar white (the best colour imo)

• Less 3.5k from new.

it wasnt a comment on your car,it was on any mk of nova,doesnt matter if its never even turned over on 0 miles,1l base models-theyre still sh1t.
I do like yours,but me,well i have owned one with silly low mileage in mint condition,and i binned the engine and interior the same week

The interior is F@cking awesome As retro as it gets! Personal taste i suppose.
