    Default advance / retard dizzy springs

    13S breakerless ignition, same as 12ST and 12NV i believe

    is it possible to repair/tighten these up ?

    if there best replaced, does anyone know where i can source a set ?

    are you trying to take the rattle out them or change the advance curve?

    just trying to sort the car out. having running issues at low rpm.
    i think it might be something to do with those springs as one spring side has no tension, its all flappy flap loose.

    ^ bloody hell, a complete new dizzy! the engine will prob **** its pants and have an orgasm if i fitted that.
    if i hit a brick wall with the springs, i might go that route if i can afford it. cheers lover boy :P

    the fact is that its everything within the distributor that wears, not just the springs. if you alter the tension of them it will affect the timing as load and rpm increases. you would have to re sleeve and bush the whole lot which would cost more than £60
