what model car?
what engine?
what make/model of switch?
because it is simply not a case of fitting a switch..
you need some wiring sorting out to get power to the ign/ecu & also something to power the starter.
You ideally want a relay in there too but the two ignition wires are the starter feed black/red and the other should be switched live on position 2
its a little 1L carb mk1 nova
the kit ive bought has a relay box in it
pics...links???
its an ebay listing item 251004728606
So is everything else wired up and it's just the wires to make the starter turn with pushing the button
i fitted one of these today to someone mk2 golf
i had the following wires
Black - Earth
Red + Blue - Ignition Live
Blue - Starter Motor
All worked well, came with a relay already connected too.
as you still have to put the key in & turn it, this item looks like it is really unnecessary..
i thought you'd gone for the rally type....
big aircraft switch to put the ignition on, like this
then a push button to power the starter..
so if, in a hurry, you need to kill the engine, you smack the switch downwards.
then you run the switch to the necessary ignition wires, with a spur off it to your starter switch kit..
then you can remove the ign switch.
