btw where did you get your trumpets?
it definitely runs smoother with the mj, tbh not really sure on winter starting , i've never had problems with it firing up.
trumpets were custom hobbies from AT race engines - i believe they were originally bike ones - machined down to mate to the r1 original base.
i gave up looking for off the shelf ones - like you say they're just too silly prices, these weren't cheap but the carbs needed 'finishing off'![]()
yeah the rubber ones that are standard are ok but not the prettiest, how are your fixed?
the carb top and trumpet is one piece now - they were both machined to an interference fit - the top just bolts to the carb like the standard one - this kind of shows it
