First of all thanks for the replies! I wasnt expecting much. Thanks nutty nova for the pictures of the car, I will have the engine returned to its former glory in my corsa B ill start a project log i think if i have time, and thanks to craig green too, im sure i may get in touch with you in the future. As for contacting courtenay, my brother spoke to them this week and they will be supplying us with a few bits. The man on the phone was very surprised to hear about the engine, we know it was converted in 2002 and he seemed to think it was one of the last ones they did! But all in all. VERY EXCITED!
how can mark watts (manager ov courtenay) say they didn't make one when his was one ov the first to be made ??
you dragged this thread up to leave that comment??
WTF?
Oh, and ov is no shorter than oF.

Sorry to drag up old posts!.
I remember this car pretty well, it was owned buy my best friend Shaun Major from Spalding he purchased it as a standard mint gsi from Norfolk for £4500 mileage at the time was late 30k. Cracking car bloody quick and minty mint.
After about 6 months it was taken to local body shop John Burdall which Shaun spent approx £1800 on subtle body mods and a full respray in mint white. ( mods -- smooth tail gate, scooby bonnet scoop and rear wing fitted. ) Car was lowered and 16" speedline`s got fitted, looked funkin fantastic.
Shortly after he ran into engine problems so £900 later a fully rebuilt 1.6 and boy did it shift.
Cracking car shame it got that stupid bodykit fitted by later owners
