I bought a VTS for winter last year for £650 with tax and mot. Was really tidy and easily sold it on for a profit at the end of winter. Something light, fwd and quick is what is needed for fun times in the snow imo. Also something that can get you your money back by breaking it is handy if you bump it.
ive just got a cheap ass vectra , not a bad car actually ,
Sao VTS is a good option imo, just not exactly cheap to run though. Corsa TD is best shout so far though.
Metro GTi maybe? Had one a few years ago, great fun to drive.
Mk1 Mr2
Beat me to it, was just about to suggest an Mk1 or 2 MR2.
Hmm I don't really fancy a RWD car for winter(I would of just kept Vx on road if I wanted one) and not that keen on MR2's.
How hard is it to find a cheap thrashable fun motor!? I have been on the lookout for a 106 xsi but they seem to be like rocking horse ****!
I'm with Dan here, Justy or Jimny for the homoerotic 4wd win.
Or put snow tyres on the VX with 15" rims I'd have done that for this winter if mine wasnt killed by a 2 wheeld coont
What about an old micra? Cheap as chips and run for ever
The little justys and jimnys seem to command good money (well in my cheap banger eyes they do!)
If I don't get this garage for storage I will be using Vx
If I get a little micra I doubt I'd be able to shake of the Mohammed nickname that I'd be given at work
