U'd be best off using a cutting compound and warm soay water on the paint mate t-cuts not abrasive enough to cut through the dull layer.
Mowgli is giving me some G3 so soon as i get that im going to give it a go with it and see the results

Yeah, well bought some window surrounds of Colin yesturday at Nats, so fit them today and fit exhaust, then start refurbin my alloys
+ take door cards off to check condition behind the riviting
