    Default number plate recess

    i want to put a recees in a rear gsi bumper to house the number plate,
    ive seen this done before but want to know hoe its done, how difficult it is and what tools etc id need as im thinking of doin this to mine


    any advice appreiated

    basicly, you cut out a section from the bumper. and ither put in a flat piece of plastic, or a built numberplate recess.

    www.quadconversions.co.uk for a well built one.

    Remeber you have to have the plate lit up at nite, so you have to have a light. If you put in a flat piece of plastic, you will need to reposition the numberplate light. or if you puy in a recess itll have a light in it.

    Then basicly what you have to do is 'fill' and blend it in using bumper filler and or fiber glass. simular to the method used to fill holes in body work with filler. Then paint over the top. YOU CANT PUT IN A RECESS AND KEP IT BLACK!!! SEEN IT DONE! hope this helps. ::
