i had same probs on a corsa failed it on mot,
polished it for hours but still couldnt get it out enough
i have used a rotary to remove marks from a saxo rear windscreen,the guy had used a scourer pad to remove tar,so i got called to do my magic,15minutes later.....'what scourer pad'

I Used to use G3 then some windowlene to get over that problem.
Also always used to G3 hazy headlights before putting them on egay, make em sparkle like new!
