e16se turbo conversion

I'm thinking about doing a turbo conversion on an e16se. I'm struggling to find much info on the topic (yes I have used the search function). Is there any good build threads kicking about? I've had a look on here, migweb and vaux extreme and the only two I can find are Mikes and Dirtydogs. I know that one of the bens also had a turbo 8v but I'm unable to find a build thread.

Any help would be appreciated.

I've been reading up on it recently, drop me a message on msn... not something to be taken up lightly though really, if you want it to last more than 5 minutes it's gotta be done properly imo.

There is lots of talk & discussion on the archives here.
I cba'd to go over it all again, but my initial advice would be to get a spare engine, mount it in an engine stand & begin to design & mock up the exhaust manifold. You will need a turbo to do that aswell really. A garret from a Rover 2.0 T16 would be ideal, cheap to come by also.
Get past that stage & would might be the closest anyone has come to actually turbo-charging one of these engines after starting a thread..

I might be getting a spare engine, c16se and a turbo kit. Which consists of turbo, manifold, intercooler and boost pipes. I'm unsure of the size of the turbo, as I haven't got it yet.

I have plenty of space at work so the idea was to store it here and work on it whilst I'm not busy. However I would like to do as much research as possible before I go ahead.

I'd like to see some pics of the oil feed and return setup. Obviously I'll need an oil filter recolation kit.

Alright buddy my oil return is on the sump you can see in this pic, i will sort some pics of the feed and some better ones of the return Just give me a pm and will try and help

Im sure wilson is selling his e16se turbo charged engine and he's also on about just selling the conversion parts seperate.Maybe worth giving him a PM

The hardest part is manifold.

Everything else can be nicked from other cars (Cosworth parts are ideal i found)

Thanks for the help guys. Im picking up a c16se on Saturday and will be rebuilding it. Mikec123 I'm sure a few pms will be exchanged in the forth coming months. I had a quick look through your build thread last night and I have it on bookmark. Your car is porn and so is the engine
