The reason i didn't mention it is because it's a bit of a gamble, because you don't know whether the signal coming from megasquirt is powerfull enough to trigger the xe/lets ignition amp. I know the transistor is rated about 200ma max, so we need someone to try it on the vauxhall set-up (not responsible for fried transistors )
It would probably work, as it's a small transistor triggering a bigger transistor
A friend mine has got an oscilloscope, when my opel corsa (LHD vaux nova ) gets finished i'll pay him visit with the car, and i'll see what kind of current goes to the ignition amp on the standard Motronic 2.5 . It might take a while though, the car isn't finished yet and i haven't got much time for it either
