Castle Combe Performance Car Action Day 2008

First off - big thanks to Lee, for organising the day/ stand/ track sessions for me. also for the loan of his 1.2 to store my kit in - thanks very much.

Up at 5am, left the house at 6:15am, for the 3 hour journey - organised to meet up with ben21 from VauxSport en route, so did do on the M5 South - car was running schwweet, ipods rock.

Got to Combe around 9am, after queuing for about 20mins to get in - found the PNG stand instantly, which was brimming with some awesome Novas

Was great to meet some new faces, namely Dar, Ernie, chris gsi, Lee, Ed, Dars Dad, corsakid, Will F... along with some old faces, Adam, grunt16v, spanishfly, Andy Bishop & Steve etc

Car was fantastic - had took down to 888s aswell, but they stayed behind the motorhome allday, and I was running on the Rainsports, which were amazing again - recommend them to anyone whose buying some new wet tyres.

Had a session with Michelle, then ben21 (VS), then chip (VS), then Lee kindly took me out as passenger, all I can say, is that thing certainly has some torque! just needs to be accompanied by a diff, so any donations would be kindly received @ leeneedsadiff@hotmail.com

Got a couple of static shots, but the weather was horrible, so wasn't keen on standing out in the rain, and all of the PNGers were out on track at the same time - so wouldn't have got any of the locals anyway

Nope - Adam had a great time out on track as his first ever outing, he also had a passenger ride in Lee's which he thoroughly enjoyed by all accounts

Was a great day out despite the weather. Was stupidly slippy out there, compounded by the fact I had no traction, and no grip maily due to having the most useless tyres on planet earth If it wasnt sliding, it was spinning! Had a rare oppertunity to fool about with Dar seeing as we both had zero grip. Consisted of one off for me and two spins for Dar. Thats a record Lots of external footage aquired! (sorry I didnt wait Dar, kicking myself I didn't, but le mist a la red had descended )

Adam appeared to have a great session. Was good to see another member losing his track virginity. Rekon you've got the bug now Ad? Stuart also had an off in his corsa. Good lad!!

Good to meet you Oli, and great pics as well, ta for those Your still a pansie though, but bejesus those tyres of yours were awesome! I honestly had no idea where you were getting all that grip from!

Bit gutted for Chris and Ernie, both ended the day with cars that wouldnt start. Sure its something simple guys, at least your not sweeping up crankcase

Also good to see some new members popping down. Sorry to those I didnt get a chance to speak to.

Sorting my vids now. Bit gutted that it appears the session with Ad in passenger, the wisdscreen was so fogged up you can hardly see. Might look better once rendered though.
