    Default 2008 pvs challenge build, engine now in and running

    got my new nova this week, its a 1.2spi in white, allready got the engine out and started prepping to weld up the cancer it has. this car was sat in my mates drive for about a year, i have been pinching parts off it ever since, but wanted a project so rescued it. car came with a 1.6gte eingine in the boot in pieces so needs to be rebuilt and installed.

    got lots done yesterday with the help of sr-lew. got the welding done in the engine bay an lots primed. also got all the gaskets an parts to re-built the engine. there were 3 bits of weldig, one bit needed three patches because it had gone were 3 panels meet, see pics.

    just finished spraying engine bay white, looks ok, but needs an engine, haha. still need to get hold of a passenger door, wings, bumpers, lights etc

    might be worth seem welding the bay(while you can) for a xe there cheap enough at the minuate!

    im not a fan of xe's to be honest, everyone around my area that has had one done has had it gone wrong, my last gte engined nova ran like a dream even with 130000 on the clock and no rebuild, so im hoping this one will be even better.

    started cleaning up and painting engine today, need to get hold of a clutch kit and the gearbox can be put back on.

    engine is now in one piece, just waiting to pick the clutch kit up 2mz and the engine will be ready to go in.
