Had a play with fitting... But before this is what i found when i took the "glass" out.

You can see the care taken in making...

Oh, it's like a mine. A mine for fibre glass...

Next up fitting. I even found the Trim that fits around them to get the proper look...

With a standard length mirror on top. So they are shorter. But you can see the shape is wrong.

    From behind... OOoo

Inside view. Impressed how much view you still get.

But the glass shape and finish hurts me.

    More to come.

Shame they're not done properly, you like them enough to make a new set then? I always like the Astra mirrors on yours I must admit.

Scott sent me a few pics of how he did his mirrors. Done a top job of them. Maybe speak to him see if he'd make you another set as I'm sorry but those are very poor.

Sorry i missed all these replies.

I've removed (well only fitted one mirror after seeing them) the mirrors as they are so badly made. THey will be back on ebay. utter shite, full of fiberglass and so badly made.

Wow, looks like i've been slacking. TBh i've just been enjoying and driving the car and using it as a work van. Carrying my welding gear about to weld up a Astra GTE and a Nova.
But then thought its time i took it apart and said "i've got loads of time..." remember those words kids.

First off, i did lots of reading and saved all the photos i could for ref reasons. So i could finally do the Corsa servo and mc swap.
found there's lots of things missing from write ups over it. Mostly cause people did the swap with dashes out.
First, you can't get this out with the dash in... Que up the grinder...

Next the Nova pedal assembly bits wont come out with the steering column in. Now i wanted to remove that anyway due to this...

Damage that was caused years ago due to someone putting mole grips on it when it didn't have a steering wheel on it.
Getting the snapoff bolt thing out was being a nightmare, again due to a fitted dash. Luckly my belt sander fitted in the gap and worked just right grinding the top off. With the column out i got the pedals out and started marking up.
found the backing plate would only just fit, had to trim the edge off too... So mark and.

Get a big hole saw and...

    Gave me this..

Looking at other peoples photos it looked to far forward, The main hole was in the water channel. which wasn't gonna be good.

    But that gave me this...

After much talking and looking at photos. I worked out that people have cut down the backing plate! Which means it can all site father back.
    Like this.

Which means you can have it sat like this...

    Much better.

But means the scuttle tray had to be re-drilled, meaning a big ass hole.
So i worked it out, plated up the first hole like so (lil untidy welding i know), then bare metal'ed it all to re seal and paint.

Gave it a coat of etch primer.

Back under the dash, i've got this...
